位于绵竹市城关小西门外，为川西驰名的寺庙，始建于唐，重建于宋祥符年间，名为“祥符寺”。经过历代的扩建、重修，祥符寺气宇不凡，宏伟壮丽。 祥符寺主要建筑有天王殿、武圣殿、大雄宝殿、观音殿。寺门前有照壁，壁上有清乾隆太史李调元所书“第一禅林”四个大字。进寺门两侧是四大金刚。第一重殿是天王殿，正中是笑脸相迎、袒胸露腹的弥勒佛像，两侧坐四大天王，像高丈余，造于明建文三年（1401年）。天王殿大门两边装板上有“重修翔符寺妙”六个五尺见方的狂草大字，下款有“鹅山张隅书”。第二重殿是武圣殿，主供关羽。第三重殿是大雄宝殿，有大佛三尊，塑造于明洪武十七年（1384年）大雄宝殿前两侧是声誉四溢的罗汉堂，塑有五百阿汉罗及诸天善神，合计约800个塑像，造型生动，妙像庄严，栩栩如生。第四重殿为观音殿，上有藏经楼，两侧为客堂和法堂，观音殿后的圭峰堂，庭院雅致，花备四时，竹树幽深。四大重殿依次垂立于寺域的中轴线上。 1950年，人民政府因储备粮食需要，暂征祥符寺为中心仓廪，虽历经曲折，其宇域界和主建筑终能保存下来。弹指一挥四十年，1987年，寺庙的修善工程全面展开，得到各界士民和海内外信徒的鼎力支持，众志成城，使得庙貌重光，气势恢弘，庄严肃穆，鎏金溢彩。到了1996年，能海大和尚亲传弟子清定上师任祥符寺方丈。每逢月之初一，十五及佛典盛会，进寺膜拜和浏览观光者络绎不绝，是绵竹县重要的旅游胜地。
